What is NoiseMaker?

This one-of-a-kind platform will leverage your organization’s existing key volunteers, so they become Social Media Ambassadors - and make a lot of noise for their favorite cause.

NoiseMaker will equip you with your own Ambassador Program, and best of all…your new army of “NoiseMakers” will get rewarded for their fundraising and friendraising efforts through a customizable reward system.

How does it work?

1.  Sign up for NoiseMaker and easily set up your branded campaign

2.  Offer the Ambassador opportunity to your existing qualified volunteers

3.  Interested volunteers apply and are approved as your "NoiseMakers"

4. Each Ambassasador gets a unique NoiseMaker Link and your "One Voice Kit" to brand and message their own social media posts

5. New Donors give using the Links, NoiseMakers earn $ rewards and your nonprofit gets NEW DONORS via the networks + goodwill of volunteer

Does NoiseMaker replace my Donor Management System / CRM?

No. NoiseMaker is a stand-alone tool to recruit and manage your volunteer ambassadors and acquire new donors via ambassador marketing.  You are in full control of your donor data and can export your new donors from NoiseMaker into your regular donor database for ongoing relationship building.

Do we have to make a long-term subscription?

No. You can subscribe to either a monthly billing or a yearly billing plan. With the monthly plan, you can cancel at anytime. However, we recommend you test out NoiseMaker for at least 4 months, in order to know for sure if ambassador marketing will be a productive new donor acquisition channel for your nonprofit.

Are PayPal and Stripe the only payment processors?

For the Starter Plan and Basic Plan, currently PayPal for Business and Stripe are the only available payment processors for donations. PayPal is recommended since that is the required processor for paying out the rewards to your ambassadors. By using PayPal you only need one integration for processing donations AND rewards. Other processors will be available for Pro and Enterprise plans.

Is NoiseMaker influencer marketing?

No.  Not unless one of your current volunteers happens to be a famous influencer.

But here’s why regular influencer marketing is NOT a great idea for nonprofits:

- Have you ever tried to reach Mr. Beast or other famous influencers?  Good luck

- If you did reach a famous influencer, can you afford their prices?  Unlikely

- Why pay for clicks and comments?  Better to only pay for donations!

Is NoiseMaker peer-to-peer fundraising?

No.  P2P Fundraising is more focused on:

- Direct asks (overt fundraising)

- Campaign driven with end-dates

- No financial incentive is offered to the volunteer to recognize the investment of time, talent, and out-of-pocket expense.

- Goals are public, so when they are not met this could be seen as negative publicity for your organization.

On the other hand, Noisemaker:

- Organic and grassroots story telling

- Ambassadors sharing their experiences with their favorite cause via their social channels

- Any “ask” a NoiseMakers includes in their story is more subtle.  Your nonprofit determines, through your One Voice Kit, what key messages or fundraising approaches align best for you.

Is NoiseMaker affiliate marketing?

No.  NoiseMaker is the world’s first automated Ambassador Marketing platform for nonprofits:

- Affiliate Marketing is very popular for businesses, who will typically enlist any affiliate willing to sell the product for a commission.

- Ambassador Marketing focuses on careful selection of Ambassadors - typically existing volunteers who are known and trusted – and who share your values, passion for your cause, and have true experiences to share.

- “NoiseMakers” do receive a reward in order to recognize their time, talent and out-of-pocket expenses.  You, the nonprofit client, determine the reward type and level.

What are Rewards?

You show your appreciation for ambassadors who successfully share their experiences by rewarding them for their time, talent, and out-of-pocket expenses (smartphone, laptop, etc.).  You choose the reward type (zero reward, flat-rate, or percentage-rate) for each campaign. And in order to comply with the generally accepted cost of fund-raising and to be LESS than most alternative new donor acquisition methods, you also choose the reward level[Learn More]

What are the Terms and Conditions (for donors)

100% of your donation may be tax deductible. Consult your tax advisor. You learned about this nonprofit organization (“The organization”) or campaign through the promotional efforts of an approved Ambassador who is a volunteer whose views and opinions may not express those of the organization. The organization may reimburse some of their ambassadors for their time, talent (video creation, etc.) and out-of-pocket expenses (computer equipment, boosting social media posts, etc.). As with all promotional methods, there is a reasonable associated cost of fundraising. The ambassador program is powered by NoiseMaker TM which receives a small fee for donation processing. Upon finalizing your donation or recurring donation, you agree to these terms and conditions and understand that the organization will pay for promotional costs and transaction fees.
